Traveling the Dao

Traveling the Dao is my episodic journey to find the perfect tai chi practice spots. It’s a perfect marriage between my love of travel and my passion for tai chi. I don’t have to travel far, however, to find a tai chi gem. Even around my hometown of Atlanta, I am always on the look-out for an ideal practice space, especially now that I have left the "studio life." How satisfying to find an area that is spacious, flat and full of good qi! A good space pulls me in and I feel the compulsion to move and flow like a leaf in the wind. When I find such a space, you may hear a quiet murmur of, “Oh, what a nice tai chi spot!” My kids used to roll their eyes at such a comment… but now, they come home from a friend’s house or outdoor adventure and say, “Dad, you gotta go there, I found a great tai chi spot!” This was the impetus to my travel log, Traveling the Dao. I will regularly post videos and pictures of nice tai chi spots that I find on my travels. I hope you also start to look around and notice the beautiful tai chi spots surrounding you!
